IF I COULD CHANGE THE WORLD

The things we witness with our naked eyes
Biting the forbidden fruit
We are only blindfolded by the sun
That never shines
We even fail to see the uncovered truth
In front of our eyes

Families cry more than newborns
Death is our daily bread
Souls are born dead
Our mother’s wombs became mortuaries

Fallopian tubes sprinkle their last respect
Ashes to ashes for the burnt spirits
Their names engraved on the walls
Of the uterus
Let them rest in piece
And recite to the angels of heaven

The world we live in
Loan sharks swallow the family heads
For we are addicted to impressions
We deny to swallow our pride
Running away from reality
To the deadly traps
Of mental slavery
Our forefathers becoming friends
In our sleep

People abandoned their religious customs
How we let our neighbors die in our presence
Children sleeping with empty stomachs
Our dustbins full of festive food
Hunger is their only Christmas present

If only….
People could recall the shape of the world
Page through the books of Matthew
Absorb the Brain-Child’s words
Then we would be able to heal the wounds
Shut the cries
And feed the empty stomachs

God bless the hand that paint ideas
To decorate the blank minds of the lost giants
Hope is all that we have for now
Patience is virtue
IF I COULD CHANGE THE WORLD!!
